Smart Communications: Smart CCM solutions for Smart Businesses

George Wright ,CEO, Smart CommunicationsGeorge Wright , CEO
There is much noise in the market when it comes to defining a cloud-based business. Companies which migrate even a single component of their operations are entitled to the rank. This caveat, George Wright (CEO, Smart Communications), points, is an essential factor which sets his company apart from others. Opposed to what is described before, the entirety of Smart Communications including its infrastructure, development, and business model resides in the cloud. “We are not a cloud business just because we have taken some on-premise legacy software and placed it into a third-party cloud. Smart Communications delivers 100 percent cloud enabled end-to-end business solutions.” To give a clear perception of what Smart Communications is and how it can help, Wright describes the current challenges that plague enterprises.

Digitalization has demarcated different cohorts of end-customers. While one may prefer to be communicated via phone, the other may prefer video. It all boils down to the fact that everyone needs almost the same information, only through different mediums; for enterprises, the imperative to satiate the preferences of different segments is turning into a serious scalability issue. Addressing this imperative will empower enterprises to build long-term, loyal relationships with their customers successfully. Another by-product of digitalization is the unsustainable pace with which the volume of communications and the expectations from it are imploding. “Between the pressure to understand the new and old generation buyers, the need to be fluent in digitalization, and the complexity of conversations, we are uniquely positioned to enable enterprises to scale the millions of conversations they have with their customers every day,” Wright states.
Recognized as the pioneer in multi-channel communications, it is interesting to witness Smart Communications get in the ring with bigger, “traditional big box communications software providers.” It is agreeable that these players may have many different product lines which are robust. However, how much relevant these products are in the times of digital transformation is the right question.

Smart Communications dedicates itself entirely to enterprise customer communications management (CCM) and offers the market’s only family of cloud-enabled advanced enterprise CCM solutions. First in line is the firm’s flagship product, SmartCOMM™, which drives accurate, personalized customer conversations regardless of a customer’s preferred channel. The platform is “the choice” of the world’s leading P&C insurers, healthcare payers, retail banks, and government agencies. It can help businesses enhance efficiency and be more compliant with regulators while reducing IT costs.

Next is SmartDX™ which simplifies trade and relationship documentation for all participants, across all asset classes and product types. Trusted by each of the G15 investment banks and some of the largest energy and commodity companies, the solution accelerates documentation processing for both the sell- and buy-side through templated document creation and industry-leading collaborative negotiation capabilities.

Last is the firm’s SmartCORR™ for Salesforce which helps enterprises increase business productivity by allowing them to work seamlessly within and leverage data from the Salesforce environment. From sales proposal creation to customer acquisition, the platform allows businesses to make controlled and efficient conversations. “We bundle our products with high degrees of flexibility by offering the solutions through a full multi-tenant SaaS offering or a hybrid cloud deployment model. Our capability to deliver mobile-based interactive communication channels such as interactive video is well regarded in the market today.”

Wright notes that his firm has invested unparalleled developmental efforts in enhancing its solutions’ browser-based usability. Two of its notable key features for designing and maintenance of communications templates, Template Editor and Draft Editor, give business users and service representatives the controls to tailor and personalize communications.

Smart Communications has recently been acquired by a premier tech-focused private equity firm, Accel- KKR. This will serve as a force-multiplier for the already market leading CCM solution provider, enabling it to further its capabilities toward latest innovations and technologies. “Smart Communications is continually advancing its technology, and in our next releases we will deepen our commitment to making customer communications in the cloud as easy and accessible as possible for all enterprises,” Wright concludes.
